A recreation by Temporyal gives us a closer look at the next Call of Duty: Warzone competitor

Battlefield 6 Battle Royale

The Battlefield hardcore community might not be excited for Battlefield 6 Battle Royale, but thankfully there's plenty of people that do, and reliable leaker Temporyal revealed a recreated map for the upcoming Battlefield 6 Battle Royale mode. Known for accurate datamining in previous Battlefield titles, Temporyal has once again provided fans a first glimpse of what could become Battlefield’s biggest move yet into large-scale Battle Royale gameplay.

On Battlefield One Podcast, host Tom (TheLankySoldier) detailed the many leaks surrounding the upcoming Battle Royale:

  • Confirmed Development:

Ripple Effect is leading the Battle Royale mode, with files showing contracts, custom loadouts, and dynamic objectives.

  • Lore:

The mode follows elite squads sent to secure a classified military R&D facility after a massive explosion exposes its secrets to private military contractors.

  • Gameplay Elements:

    • Priority missions and counter-missions allowing squads to intercept and steal rewards from enemy players and squads.

    • Custom weapon drops, giving players personalized loadouts like in Call of Duty: Warzone.

    • Vehicles and tactical call-ins for sandbox combat variety.

    • The return of Battlefield’s iconic wall of fire, replacing the traditional shrinking circle.

  • Map Location:

Datamined references and early concept art suggest a U.S.-based coastal city environment with urban districts, industrial docks, and open desert terrain.

Tom summarized it perfectly on the show:

“Battle Royale is coming… I just want a good map and a mode that can compete with Warzone. From what Temporyal and others have datamined already, it feels like we're going into the right direction."

Temporyal, widely respected in the Battlefield community for accurate datamining, has gone beyond text leaks, as he fully recreated the Battle Royale map, piecing together points of interest, terrain layouts, and other hidden details. One of them is that the classic Battlefield 3 map Noshar Canals is part of this Battlefield Battle Royale sandbox.

The map features a diverse set of named locations:

  • Urban Districts: Main Street North and South, The Valley

  • Coastal Areas: Marina, Lighthouse, South Coast

  • Industrial Zones: The Docks, Oil Pumps, Radar Comms, Military Storage

  • Unique Landmarks: Golf Resort, Fort Lyndon, Angel Beach, Water Treatment

This recreation shows a sprawling environment designed for large-scale firefights with a mix of close-quarters city battles and long-range desert and coastal engagements.

Temporyal’s work gives fans a visual representation of what was previously only imagined. Combined with mission-based gameplay and Battlefield’s trademark destruction and vehicle combat, this mode could bring something new to the Battle Royale genre.

Tom noted a cautious optimism on the podcast:

“Battle Royale could be amazing if done right, but the map needs variety. If every area feels the same, like we’ve seen in other games, players will get bored fast.

What to expect

From these leaks and Temporyal’s efforts, here’s what fans should expect when the mode launches:

  • A 128-player free-to-play Battle Royale, fully integrated into Battlefield’s sandbox experience.

  • Varied POIs for distinct playstyles: urban gunfights, open desert sniping, vehicle-heavy coastal battles.

  • A mission-based twist on standard BR matches, adding squad objectives and risk-reward gameplay.

  • A true Warzone competitor, leveraging Battlefield’s scale, destruction, and vehicular warfare.

While EA has yet to officially reveal Battlefield 6’s Battle Royale mode, community-driven efforts like Temporyal’s map recreation show how much passion surrounds this upcoming release, even the hardcore Battlefield community is not excited for the Battle Royale part of Battlefield 6. If these leaks prove accurate, Battlefield could finally deliver a Battle Royale worthy of its legacy, and one capable of standing toe-to-toe with Call of Duty: Warzone. At least one can hope.
