What is Battlefield One Podcast?
Battlefield One Podcast is an independent production that fully focuses on Electronic Arts' unique first-person shooter franchise - Battlefield.
Led by Tom Belous (The Lanky Soldier), co-hosted by Ray Edmunds and Andreas, with occasional appearances by various guests and notable personalities.
The podcast series explores both the latest developments and more than 2 decades of rich history of this unique first-person shooter series.
Whether you're a veteran from Battlefield 1942 or a newcomer from Battlefield 2042, we promise you that no matter what type of discussions we might be having, all of them will be interesting, educational and entertaining discussions.

The first ever episode of the podcast was produced on May 2, 2015, under the original title The Battlefield Experience.
The podcast was initially created to bridge the gap between the developers at Ripple Effect Studios (formerly known as DICE LA) and the playerbase that was taking part in the Battlefield 4 CTE playtests. After three episodes, Ray Edmunds recognized the need for better marketing and proposed rebranding the podcast as Battlefield One Podcast - number one destination for all Battlefield news & updates.
At the time, the idea that Electronic Arts would ever release a title called Battlefield One seemed very crazy. They would never, right?
The original run of Battlefield One Podcast lasted 42 episodes before it was placed on hiatus. This decision came after we recognized that our
passion for the franchise was not the same, while the franchise itself was not doing great and our conversations were landing on deaf ears.
As years passed, Battlefield V and Battlefield 2042 came out, and it seemed like it couldn't get any worse for the franchise. But for better or worse, Tom is still very passionate about this franchise, and like he always says, two things keep him going in life: his love for his wife and spite. He felt like there's unfinished business with this franchise and he always lurked around in the background, keeping in touch with everyone and keeping an eye on what was going on in the background.
As rumours were circling around about the next Battlefield game and the personalities that were working on that game, Tom saw an opportunity
and decided to revive the podcast with the same goal he had set in 2015: to provide a platform for fans to express their opinions and bridge the gap between the developers that are working on these expansive Battlefield games.

Battlefield One Podcast was relaunched in March 2023. With over 40+ episodes already produced and production not slowing down any time soon, the podcast has re-established itself as the leading source for Battlefield news and updates across all major audio platforms.
The growth has been remarkable and we want to continue with this progress, as it laid a strong foundation for the future of this show.
